Introducing our new PRIDE Community Challenge! A creative way for students to demonstrate their PRIDE values within the community and at home.

The Challenges
Students choose challenges from PRIDE Community Challenges. These are Optional.
There is no timeline for completion.

Pick A Path: Choose any task from the five PRIDE value grids. Aim for a mix of activities to show strengths across all areas.

Be Creative: If students have an idea that is not on the list, use the "Design Your Own" option!

Get Approval: Any task marked "Design your own" must be discussed and approved by the teacher before starting.

What to Hand In: To complete a challenge, you must provide evidence of your hard work to the lead teacher on Fridays on the PRIDE deck or if raining, the office. They will sign off students completed tasks (cards will be held until completed).
This could be:
A Journal or Diary (recording your progress over time).
Photographs or Videos of you in action.
The Finished Product (e.g., a piece of art, a baked treat, a research poster).

Student Rewards
A sign-off PRIDE card will track and celebrate achievements. There is no time limit. Students who complete five tasks (one in each Pride value category) will receive the following recognition:

  • Mention in the whole-school newsletter
  • Names called out at School Hui
  • A twice termly morning tea and a special certificate from Mrs Campbell

Whānau Support
You can be involved as much or as little as you can manage. Support tasks at home, encourage your child with new challenges, and work on creating a new challenge together! Many challenges can also be completed by children independently at school.
