Kia ora koutou

It is an honour and a privilege to be part of Upper Hutt School whānau as Tumuaki (Principal).

I live in Lower Hutt with my husband Chris and our adult children. Taranaki is where I grew up and is my turangawaewae, where I feel connected. I have family there, and I enjoy every opportunity to go north to see them and friends who still live there.

I am an active relaxer who loves being outdoors and connecting with nature. My enthusiastic chocolate Lab Luna ensures we do this as much as humanly possible, walking into the hills and enjoying the edges of Te Awa Kairangi. I  can also be found trying to stay fit at the gym or catching up with friends.

I love to learn people’s stories and have spent over 20 years connecting with tamariki in the classroom and being part of their learning journey. People are my passion, and I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know your precious tamariki better.
