Kia ora!

I am Glenda Dempsey and I am new to Upper Hutt School this year. I enjoy teaching all year levels but I love starting up a New Entrant class. I am passionate about helping our tamariki and whanau begin their kura learning journey. 

My husband, Jason, and I have 2 teenagers, Keira and Liam. They keep us busy supporting their passions, parkour, basketball and art to name a few. The song ‘My Mum is a taxi’ is very apparent in our house!

We have a rescue dog called Willow who is now a very pampered pup after her rocky start to life. She loves the family adventures we go on, especially if they involve getting wet.We also have a rescue cat called Sophie who spends her days bossing Willow around and sleeping in the sun.

I am very excited to become part of the Upper Hutt School team, getting to know lots of you and having fun learning together.
