My name is Dale Gyton
As the role at Upper Hutt school has grown, I will be teaching in the junior school, Kakano Hub for the remainder of 2022.
I have been a junior school teacher for many years and I enjoy guiding and supporting the young tamariki, as they begin their journey at Primary school. It can be really busy and hectic, but also very rewarding to see the progress that they make.
I grew up, over the hill in Pauatahanui, when Pauatahanui was a small, rural country village but I have lived in Lower Hutt most of my adult life. My adult son lives with me and has nearly completed his electrical apprenticeship. My daughter has brought a home in Naenae. So, I am lucky to have them both close to me.
In my spare time I love to be outside, gardening, walking, tramping, and generally enjoying Aotearoa's beautiful flora and fauna.
