Term Four Focus

 Inquiry focus:  KEEPING SAFE

A warm welcome to Naylene Cobb who is our new New Entrant teacher in Ruma Mea Kore.

This term we are learning how to keep safe by being firewise, road safe, earthquake aware, and trackwise.

We will be having visitors to the school to support these topics (such as firefighters and police officers) as well as receiving resources to share with whanau. We will also be going on local trips to practise our knowledge in the ‘real world’.

Please take an active role with these. It is important that we all stay safe.

 Other learning this term:

Continued Reading, Writing and Maths

Continued social skills programme - tie in with P.R.I.D.E values

EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) - more details to come

Christmas crafts and activities

End of year concert - Christmas songs and Junior Kapa Haka performance (date tbc)

Please remember that you are always welcome to come into the class and support your child/ren with their learning.

Come and talk to any of us if you have any questions or comments, or send us an email.
